I'm a fine art photographer and I aim to create magical images by combining the beauty of nature with beauty of human connections.
I am a Polish born Brit from London who has been living in the UK for over 20 years, and working as a professional photographer since 2019. I’m based in Edinburgh but I have photographed families from all over the globe.
Photography has always been an integral part of my life, I use my camera and my curiosity to find love, joy and beauty in unexpected places. My photographic journey started when I was 12 years old and my great fascination with plants and nature. My first camera belonged to my grandfather, it was a Soviet classic 35mm fixed lens piece of kit with beautiful handmade leather case which I remember to this day. I began my journey as self taught macro photographer, and in more recent years some of my work has been featured in International Garden Photographer of the Year exhibitions.
Becoming a portrait photographer is not something I initially planned on doing, but few years ago I discovered that photographing people brings me even greater joy. Documenting family histories and eternalising happiness is what really matters to me as an artist.
My Brand Promise
Timeless, Bespoke and Magical Images
I set up Monagraphs to combine two types of photography that are really close to my heart. I create whimsical portraits of people immersed in nature, to give every family timeless photographs that can be cherished for many generations.
Photography has always been my passion, and I run my business aside my day job. I am an intelligence analyst/criminologist by trade and a photographer by heart. For me photography is a form of art, rather that a job, this is why I want to give my clients a VIP experience where no two photoshoots are ever the same. I create unique sessions for every family, which are carefully planned in terms of location, lighting, outfits, storytelling narratives and nature surroundings.
I specialise in fine art photography, which means I do not document what the camera sees, rather I create imagery that reflects my creative and artistic vision. I am inspired by classical paintings from Dutch masters to impressionists, as well as literature and fairy tales. Nature is my canvas and my biggest inspiration, I look for colours, patterns and textures to create beautiful compositions with unusual bokeh to create painting like images.
